		<description>The Nick Ut – Phan Thị Kim Phùc example contains inaccurate information. 

    The planes doing the bombing near the village were VNAF ( South Vietnam Air Force) and were being flown by Vietnamese pilots in support of ARVN troops on the ground.  

    The reports in the news media that an American commander ordered the air strike that burned Kim Phuc are incorrect. There were no Americans involved in any capacity. See-

		<description>The Yves Klein photo is wonderful, but it can’t begin to match the gravitas of the lynching photo shown here. I have not seen Yevgeny Khaldei’s “Soviet Flag over the Reichstag” until now. Interesting that it was re-enacted just as the iconic Iwo Jima photo was several months later. Some say Alfred Eisenstaedt’s “V–J day in Times Square” was staged, too. All three images satisfy a collective need for closure.</description>
