Rejected SNL Characters

Kristen Wiig was on David Letterman's The Late Show" Monday night talking about her rejected SNL characters, giving Dave a taste of 2 (an Italian ladies' man and a Hawaiian P.I.,) that didn't make Lorne's cut.  Take a peek and let us know what you think of them....were they SNL worthy or did Mr. Michaels make the right call?

Top 5 “Super” Summer Movies

Thor Who's In It: Chris Hemsworth as the Mighty Thor and Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins as his father Odin. Add in Oscar winner Natalie Portman, Kat Dennings, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba and yes, that is Rene Russo as Frigga! Why You Should Watch: The trailers have looked great and RottenTomatoes has certified it Fresh with 87% of critics giving the movie a thumbs up. Early projections have the movie opening up to a $70 million weekend. Green Lantern Who's In It: Ryan Reynolds steps into the CG Green Lantern suit while Blake Lively plays his love interest, Carol Ferris. And then there's the baddies. Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond and Mark Strong as Sinestro. Why You Should Watch: Even though the final trailer debuted yesterday to mixed reviews, we still have hope that Reynold's charisma and Sarsgaard's acting chops can overcome the shaky-looking CG effects. Captain America: First Avenger Who's In It: Chris Evans plays the title role and faces off against Hugo Weaving's Red Skull. Dominic Cooper, Stanley Tucci, Tommy Lee Jones and Hayley Atwell join in on the action. Why You Should Watch: Aside from the fact that this movie has been kicking around since 2008, it will be interesting to see how Evans handles the role of Captain America, a beloved character that is part of the all-star line up in next year's Avengers movie. X-Men: First Class Who's In It: Maybe that should say who isn't in it. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender play Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr, respectively. And joining comic-dom's most popular frenemies are Jennifer Lawrence, Rose Bryne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Zoe Kravitz, Oliver Platt and Ray Wise to name just a few. Why You Should Watch: It's been five years since we've had an X-Men movie with such a wide array of characters, not counting the Wolverine Origins movie from 2009. Will this movie set up the proposed 2014 X-Men sequel or will it be a stand-alone origins movie? We'll find out in a month. Cowboys & Aliens Who's In It: The trio of Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde to start. If that's not enough to get you into the movie theater, Sam Rockwell, Paul Dano, Ana de la Reguera and Keith Carradine also co-star in Jon Favreau's big-budgeted comic book adaptation. Why You Should Watch: When the trailer debuted last month, it was met with equal parts intrigue and bewilderment. Perhaps movie audiences are having a tough time grasping on to the idea of a sci-fi western? Still, we're definitely looking forward to seeing Craig in a role that doesn't call for shaken martinis and Walther PPKs. Something tells us he's gonna need a bigger gun to take out these enemies.

The Death Star was my Idea

I take issue with the Trooper suggesting the Death Star was his idea, considering there were no Stormtroopers in Attack of the Clones where we see the first plans for the Death Star, but it's all in good fun I suppose. (Kidding of course...these parodies are hilarious...check out Chewbacca's!). I wish Han did one...he was always quite the rebel.

The Slobstopper

If you lack so much control that you pour coffee and food on yourself on a basis regular enough to warrant wearing this, you have bigger problems that might not be solved solely by using the "Slob Stopper". I mean, sure, I've had coffee spills before, but I can't say I've ever thought to myself, "I should really invest in an adult bib". This real, ridiculous product comes with an equally ridiculous commercial that suggests drinking coffee or eating in your car without spilling all over yourself is simply too hard to do, what with all the attractive women walking by.

Atari releases the ‘Hot 100′ for iOS

I was so psyched when this came out (PONG? On my iPod? LOVE IT!) but I'm pretty underwhelmed by the poor dev and controls on the games. Still it's holding me over till I break down and buy an iPad just to use the iCade Cabinet this summer. Have you downloaded the 'Greatest Hits' app or any of the games yet? What are your thoughts?

The Office April Fools Day Pranks

April Fool's Day is fast approaching, and we're all looking for the perfect way to trick that special someone. This year, be the prankster, not the prankee - with some help from "The Office's" Jim Halpert (John Krasinski). For seven seasons, Jim has been playing brilliant mind games with Dwight (Rainn Wilson) -- who, admittedly, is a pretty easy target. Jim's pranks are our favorite part of "The Office." He's had us since Jell-O. Here are five of our favorite Jim Halpert pranks in case you're in need of a little April Fool's Day inspiration. (This is also where we put the disclaimer: if any of your pranking goes awry, don't blame us for putting the idea in your head. Plenty of Jim pranks have backfired on Jim himself. Tread lightly, and think about who you're pranking... if they're likely to fire you, dump you, or punch you in the face, go easy.) The Jell-O Stapler: Sometimes, the classic gag is the best. In the pilot episode, Jim put Dwight's stapler in Jell-O -- it was our first taste of a good Jim Halpert prank, and it charmed us almost as much as it charmed his favorite receptionist. The Perfect Imitation: Admittedly, this one requires a special kind of target. If your intended prankee has some... well, quirks, we suggest you exploit those quirks mercilessly. When Jim found a cheap pair of glasses that resembled Dwight's, he decided to collect the whole ensemble and attend work in his best Dwight impression. "Bears. Beets. Battlestar Gallactica." Playing Vampire: Got a "Twilight" fan in your life? Then this one will require some extra body glitter. When Joss Whedon stopped by to direct an episode, a bat got loose in the office -- don't ask -- Jim suddenly showed all the right symptoms. If you play it subtle, you may freak out your favorite believer. The Wrapping Paper Prank: The most frequent office prank involves wrapping a desk in wrapping paper, toilet paper, or covering it in post-its, so at the beginning of this episode "Morroccan Christmas," we weren't too impressed with Jim's originality. Turns out he's able to put his own twist on just about anything - he'd wrapped a flimsy cardboard model, not the real deal. If you pull this one off, definitely let us know.
